The U.G. Department of Commerce – Business Process Services was established in the year 2014.

The curriculum framework and content would facilitate students to conveniently pursue their careers in the ITES industry as well as in sectors like Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, and Retail industry. The industry-integrated, unique three-year full-time B.COM.BPS degree programme focuses on developing proficiency in commerce and business processes. It has intensive course work comprising of specialized subjects along with B. Com subjects Viz.,

MoU with Shiksha by Swathika IAS Academy, Coimbatore, for providing Competitive Exams Coaching Class for the Students.
ICT enabled Class rooms.
The department follows a proctorial system to give personalized attention to the students every year.
A parent meeting is conducted every semester.
Motivational and Remedial measures are taken to elevate the students to their levels.
Industrial Visit is arranged once a year.

Association

ICABPS: Intellects of Commerce and Business Process Services

The department association ICABPS was inaugurated in the year 2014 with the motto of motivating the youth enterprising minds to perform challenging activities. This platform lets the students have strong conceptual foundation in the core areas of commerce and business processes by facilitating active participation in inter college events, Paper Presentation and conduct of Group Discussions, Workshops, Guest Lecture ,Extension  Programs, student seminars. Thus the forum supports students academically and makes them more productive and efficient in their preferred area of expertise.

Program Educational Objectives:

PO1 Disciplinary knowledge: Capable of demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and understanding of one or more disciplines that form a part of Commerce BPS.
PO2 Leadership readiness/qualities: To prepare the students to take up the responsibilities in various functional areas of the business organization and to have strong skill about the business processes and outsourcing services.
PO3 Analytical reasoning: To acquire entrepreneurial attributes and develop managerial skills; applying both quantitative and qualitative knowledge to their future careers in business.
PO4 Problem solving: To acquire the skills of communication analytics, team management decision making and problem solving etc.
PO5 Critical thinking: Capability to apply analytic thought to a body of knowledge; analyse and evaluate evidence, arguments, claims, and beliefs on the basis of empirical evidence. Critically evaluate practices, policies and theories by following scientific approach to knowledge development.
PO6 Communication Skills: Ability to express thoughts and ideas effectively in writing and orally; Communicate with others using appropriate media; confidently share one’s views and express herself/himself;
