CHENNAI – The NGM Alumni Association is set to mark a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever chapter, the Chennai Chapter, on October 1st, 2025. This highly anticipated event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harrisons Hotel, Nungambakkam, Chennai, bringing together esteemed alumni to foster stronger ties and extend the association’s reach.
The inauguration of the Chennai Chapter represents a crucial step in strengthening the NGM alumni network, providing a dedicated platform for graduates residing in and around the metropolis. The evening promises to be a memorable occasion, featuring prominent personalities and a roster of dedicated office-bearers for the new chapter.
Dr. B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, the esteemed President of NGM College, Pollachi, will deliver the Presidential Address, sharing his vision for the alumni community and the new chapter’s role in furthering the institution’s legacy.
The formal Installation of the Chennai Chapter will be conducted by Dr. S. Balachandran, former Head of the Regional Meteorological Centre, Government of India. Dr. Balachandran will also serve as the Chief Patron of the newly formed Chennai Chapter, lending his invaluable experience and guidance.
Dr. S. Ramakrishnan, President, and Dr. K. Haridas, Secretary, of the NGM Alumni Association, along with National Coordinators Colonel T.M. Shanmugham (Retd.) and Dr. K. N. Ilangovan, Principal (Retd.) of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Perundurai, have extended a cordial invitation to all NGM alumni to grace the occasion with their presence.
The Chennai Chapter aims to create a vibrant hub for networking, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and social engagement among its members.
