Student Support and Progression
Offering quality education to students is one of the mission statements of the College. Accordingly, it has an independent system for student support and mentoring and provides a suitable environment for teaching, learning and other supportive activities. Career Guidance and Counselling Cell ensures personal enhancement and development of students. Students actively participate in soft -skills development programs, industrial/field visits and educational trips. Students are given training to enhance their communication skills, for which a separate language laboratory has been established. Endowments and Scholarships have beencreated to aid the economically downtrodden. Support services are offered by the college to Differently-Abled students. Part-time Medical Officers pay visit and special meetings for women -related health issues are conducted. The campus is also equipped with a Health Center. The Alumni Association functions effectively for the development of the college, whenever a developmental move is taken, and suggests constructive opinions for the welfare of the college. Students’ Grievances and Redress Cell, Women Harassment Prevention Cell and Anti-ragging Committee function as per the guidelines. Adequate facilities are provided to create an environment conducive to Teaching, Learning, Curricular, Co-curricular, Research and community -oriented activities. Students are
provided with a good range of sports and games and are motivated to participate in sports and cultural events, intramural sports and intercollegiate sports meets at State and National levels. The College offers training for students to prepare for Civil Service Examination and the other Competitive Examinations.
