E-Commerce

The UG Department of Commerce with E-Commerce was established in the year June 2009 with two faculty members. The Department offers B.Com with E-Commerce (Bachelor of Commerce with Electronic Commerce) a three-year degree programme. The main objective of the course is to integrate a balance between objective learning and practical learning. Students can develop a strong E-Commerce foundation to apply and refine their knowledge to the ‘Digital world’. The syllabus is updated every year to meet the present needs of the students.

Infrastructure

The UG Department of Commerce with E-Commerce has 3 Classrooms. In our Department, We have 2 Systems with Internet Facilities and we maintained department library with text books and general knowledge books.

  • Role-play method, Case studies, Quiz , debate, Skits, and group discussions are conducted to enrich the knowledge of the students
  • PowerPoint’s presentations used
  • Online trading, Cyber law, Online ticket reservation has been included in the curriculum

  • Regular Current Affairs sessions conducted in last ten minutes
  • Inter department meet and E-Commerce Expo have been organized
  • Subscribing English newspaper to the students to improve their communication skills

B Com e-commerce is a 3-year undergraduate course that deals with the accounting principles related to e-commerce. Ecommerce, a new trading method with the essence of internet and technology. B com in e-commerce is designed with an aim to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to the students about future commerce and trade practices. Candidates are eligible for pursuing this course if they hold a 10+2 degree with accounts, Business Studies and Economics from a recognized board.

PO1: Disciplinary Knowledge: To Replicate the concepts, principles and theories in the field of
Commerce, E–Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Law and Taxation with necessary technical skills
which promote the growth of their professional career and entrepreneurship

Reflective Thinking: To Qualify the students to meet the requirements of the society and
enlightening the education of global standards

Information and Communication Technology Digital Literacy: To Enable to students to acquaint knowledge by applying Information Technology in order to meet the future challenges of Business with Zeal and Confident.
