The Department had its humble foray in the Arena of Computer science in the year 1990. Since the time of its inception the department has maintained its flair. Initially the department started functioning with a strength of 25 students, in the year 1995; the strength soar upto 30 and then onto 60 from the year 2000. The syllabus of MCA department has been framed to meet the cutting edge technology. The syllabus is revamped every year and is on par with the latest trend in the IT industry.

The Department has its strong Alumni base. Alumni of the department are occupying top notch positions in various MNC’s and to the feather on the Cap, some of its Alumni are now CEO’s of various companies. All Members of staff of the department have had their Doctoral degrees. Visionaire a technical symposium happens to be the Magnum opus of the department where numerous colleges actively participate. The department utilizes the power of autonomy rendered to the college by the University by updating the syllabus as per the needs of the IT industry.

The club main focus is to offer programmes that the Cutting Edge technology demands. The club promotes self learning, creativity and encourages bringing out new innovative ideas. As the culmination of these activities Visionaire, a technical symposium is held every year. Visionaire is a symposium where many students from various colleges actively participate
